Change Customer Package
Upgrade or downgrade a customer's package. Upgrades are prorated and activate immediately; downgrades cost nothing and take effect at the next renewal.
upgrade downgrade prorated tariff plan change packageYou can move a customer to a different tariff plan at any time from the Customers list. What happens next depends on whether the new package costs more or less than the current one.
Steps
Go to Customers and find the customer.
Click the three-dot menu in the Actions column and click Change Package.
Change Package changes the tariff plan. To turn individual services on or off within the same plan, use Edit Packages instead. Select the new package. Each option is tagged Upgrade or Downgrade and shows its price.
Review the pricing details before confirming.
The current package and its remaining days sit at the top; the prorated charge for an upgrade is spelled out before you pay.
Upgrades
If the new package costs more, Billistra calculates a prorated charge for the days remaining on the current subscription. Once that payment completes:
- The new package activates immediately.
- The expiry date does not change.
- The next renewal is billed at the new package's full rate.
Downgrades
If the new package costs the same or less, there is no additional charge. The new package takes effect after the current subscription expires, so the customer keeps what they already paid for until then.
