Manage Add-ons
Sell STB boxes and other extras alongside subscriptions — build an add-on catalogue, then decide per reseller which add-ons they offer, at what price, and whether they are optional or mandatory.
add-ons addons STB device set-top box MAG box mandatory add-on optional add-on sales reportAdd-ons let you sell STB boxes and other additional services alongside subscriptions. An add-on is charged to the reseller when they create a customer with it.
Setting one up takes two steps. First you define the add-on once in your catalogue. Then you switch it on and price it for each reseller who should be able to sell it.
Create an add-on
Open Add-ons from the left menu. The Catalogue tab lists every add-on you have created.
Under New add-on, enter a Name — for example STB Device MAG420.
Select the add-on Type, such as DEVICE.
Set the Default Price and the Currency.
Add a Description if you want one. It shows under the add-on's name in the list.
Click Create add-on.
The catalogue holds the default price. Each reseller can be given their own price later.
The add-on is now in your catalogue and ready to configure for resellers.
You can rename an existing add-on, switch it Active or inactive, or change its default price directly in the list. Click Save on that row to apply the change. The Sales report tab shows which add-ons have been sold.
Configure add-ons for a reseller
A new add-on is not offered to anyone until you enable it for a reseller.
Go to Resellers and open the reseller you want to configure.
Open the Add-ons tab.
Switch on each add-on this reseller should be able to sell.
Set this reseller's Price. It is charged in the reseller's own currency, and the catalogue default is shown under the add-on's name for reference.
Choose the Mode:
- Mandatory — charged on every customer this reseller creates.
- Optional — offered as a checkbox when the reseller creates a customer.
For an optional add-on, tick Pre-tick if it should be selected by default on the customer form.
Click Save on the row.
Each row is saved on its own, so you can switch on one add-on without touching the rest.
Repeat this for every reseller who should offer add-ons. The Sales view on the same tab shows what that reseller has sold.
What the reseller sees
When the reseller creates a new customer, the add-ons you enabled appear in an Add-ons section of the form, each with the price you set for that reseller.
- Optional add-ons — the reseller chooses whether to include them.
- Mandatory add-ons — always included and charged.
- Individual pricing — each reseller pays the price you set for them, not the catalogue default.
