Connect a Ministra Portal to Billistra

Add your existing Ministra portal, install the lightweight Billistra Agent with one command, and verify the API and database connections.

Billistra connects to an existing Ministra portal through the Billistra Agent — a lightweight service you install on your Ministra server with a single command.

Add the portal

Go to the Portals menu and click Add Portal.

Connected portals report agent status, API and DB health, user counts and their agent version.

General settings

In the General section, enter:

  • Portal Name
  • Slug — auto-generated from the name, and editable
  • Portal IP — the public IP of the Ministra server
  • Portal Status
  • Capacity — the maximum users this portal serves; 0 means unlimited

Installation settings

  1. Go to the Installation section.

  2. Select the Install Type.

    • If Ministra runs inside a Docker container, select Docker and enter the container name.
    • If Ministra is installed directly on the host machine, select Host.
  3. Enter the Installation Path. The default is provided; if your installation uses a different path, enter the correct one.

The agent reads `custom.ini` / `config.ini` from this path to discover the database and API credentials — common locations are listed under the field.

API settings

In the API section, configure:

  • API Port — the port Ministra's HTTP API listens on, typically 80 or 2080
  • Stalker Portal Path
  • Portal API Path — derived automatically from the Stalker Portal path plus /api
Billistra assembles and shows the final API URL so you can sanity-check it before saving.

Branding

The Branding section is optional. Add your own portal URLs, supported STB models and colours, or leave the defaults.

Sync settings

Auto Sync keeps users and subscriptions aligned continuously; batch size and the two intervals control how hard it works.

From Sync Settings you can:

  • Enable or disable Auto Sync
  • Configure the Batch Size
  • Configure the Sync Interval
  • Configure the Poll Interval

Create the portal and install the agent

  1. Review all settings.
  2. Click Create Portal.
  3. Billistra generates an Agent Installation Command.
  4. Copy the command.
  5. Run it on your Ministra server.

The Billistra Agent connects your Ministra portal and database to Billistra automatically. It is lightweight and collects only the data needed for synchronisation and management.

Test the connection

After installing the agent:

  1. Click Test API Connection to verify the portal API is reachable.
  2. Click Test Database Connection to verify the database connection.

If both tests succeed, your Ministra portal is connected.
